Guidance for suppliers
All of the logs we process are grown in the UK – and meet EU Timber Regulations enabling Ransfords to fulfil our sustainable timber obligations. We purchase timber throughout the UK from a variety of sources. We believe in developing long term relationships with trusted suppliers who can demonstrate that they share our commitment to the future of British forestry and British sawmilling.
The main species we utilise are Douglas Fir, Larch and Spruce and we have continuous demand for green quality logs with a minimum top diameter of 18cm under bark.
In addition to buying logs we grow and harvest our own at several forestry holdings throughout the UK.
