Timber on our doorstep

This image shows Douglas Fir being loaded up in a forest just over a mile from our mill. It will soon be transformed into useful timber products and be on its way to our customers. No part of any of these logs will be wasted: bark, sawdust and woodchip will all be used for different purposes. The journey from the forest to our mill involves almost zero timber miles whilst the efficient use of fully loaded delivery wagons will ensure that the finished timber has as small an impact on the environment as possible.
